The following is a list of descriptions of essays I have completed and that are available for first publishing. Please contact me if any sound like something you are interested in.
1. Faith Mail
About how you have to trust the mail system to send a
letter. Also discusses the joy of being removed from
a gift when the recipient receives it.
2. This I Believe
For a series on NPR with same title, to which I will
submit it. This is a variation of the essay
Femininism.
3. Femininism
On how feminism has taken up the tools of patriarchy
and therefore won't succeed. Femininism is the new
feminism, and uses femininty to chagne the world
instead of fighting.
4. Anchor's AweighAbout the anchors in our lives - the things that hold
us to a place.
5. I Speak American
On the link between language and culture, specifically
observations I've made on The American Way
(alternative title).
6. Considerism
A manifesto on being considerate as a way of life that
will improve everyone's world.
7. Yourself a City
A theory that cities (and states and countries) age
like people do. Been pondering this a while, but this
is the only one that I haven't actually written on yet
(just have a blank page with a title saved). An
example is that the USA is like an obnoxious
rebellious teenager that doesn't know any better, but
thinks we know everything.
8. Making Consumption Okay
Exploring the roles of consuming versus producing in
biology and culture. The premise is that we ARE
consumers, because the only true producers are plants,
and we have to accept taht, but not be consumers of
marketing, be consumers of life.
